Irvine Homes With Guest Casita

Irvine is one of the best places to find larger homes that come with a guest casita. This of course will all depend on your price range as many luxury homes can average well over $4 million dollars. However, it's not impossible to find homes with a guest casita in the $1.5 million dollar range if you know where to look. Casitas are really ideal for those who have extended family members or just need some extra space away from the main part of the house. Here is a quick guide on where to look.

The number one place to start your search would be the Shady Canyon community. This is an exclusive guard gated community that has crazy security. Once you pass through the 24 hour guard gate you then have to pass through another set of gates for each of the individual neighborhoods located within Shady Canyon. This area is well known for it's large and expansive homes and also for being one of the most expensive Irvine communities. Expect homes with a guest casita to run from $5 to $10 million dollar plus.

There are two communities located to the South and North of Shady Canyon known as Turtle Ridge and Quail Hill neighborhoods. First, Turtle Ridge is one of my favorite neighborhoods since it reminds me of an old Tuscan Village that you might see in the countryside in Italy. A lot of the architecture is done in the Tuscan and Mediterranean style which adds a lot of charm to the homes here. Homes with a casita are typically in the mid $2 million dollar range and can be found in neighborhoods like Chaumont. There are also some currently listed for under $2 million in neighborhoods like Ledges. Quail Hill is located just north of Shady Canyon and also is a great place to look. These homes tend to be on the smaller size and also less expensive. Look for homes in neighborhoods like Sitenna that offer floor plans with a casita.

Other areas like Woodbury and Northpark will also have some floor plans that come with a casita. In Woodbury, look for homes in neighborhoods like Mille Fleurs while Northpark has some homes in communities like Huntington Collection.
