Irvine Public Virtual Open Houses

One of the newest things to pop up in recent weeks is a public virtual open houses. This is different concept than a traditional open house where anyone can just drop by and go into the house. One of things that is the same is that the home is open during a certain time, typically from 12 noon to 4pm or so. Typically you will have a real estate agent that is at the home and will have present to do a virtual walk through of the home with online software like Zoom that allows multiple people to engage with the real estate agent. This is typically how it works.
A link is sent to the prospective buyer via the real estate agent. The buyer clicks on the link and engages with the real estate agent during the times of the open house. This would be similar to doing a face time call with someone as they walk through the home with you. Many buyers are getting used to the idea they must pre-screen a lot of properties online before going to see a home. Of course, real estate is now considered an essential business so homes can still be seen if you adhere to the guidelines. Typically you are asked to wear a mask and gloves and sign a Coronavirus advisory which acts as a release form that covers all of the social distancing guidelines and let's know about the virus and the various rules and regulations. Once this is signed you can enter the home but only one party at a time. Long gone are the days when anyone can enter the home at any given time. Most agents and homeowners have a strict policy to not touch any of the surfaces within the home, wear a mask and gloves and keep an adequate social distance among each other.
