The Barcelona gated community is one of the best kept secrets when looking for a home in a secure neighborhood.  If you are familiar with the location of the Irvine Spectrum shopping center then you will know the general area where this is located.  The area is located just south of where the 405 and the 5 freeway meets in small little gate neighborhood that features newer detached single family homes built with modern amenities and style.  A new listing has just come on the market in this community that features a total of 4 bedrooms, 3 baths with a reported 2,712 square feet with two levels of living space. One of the best places to look for a rental home in Irvine, California is the Reserve at Orchard Hills community.  If you are new to the Irvine area then you will quickly learn there are a lot of different neighborhoods to choose from.  A lot of these are newer communities like Portola Springs, Great Park and Orchard Hills offer a wide range of properties, often built in the last several years.  The best inventory of quality rental homes in my opinion are looking in the Orchard Hills gated community of the Reserve.  Currently on the market are several new construction rental homes that were built in 2023 with prices in the mid $7,500 a month range for a long term 12 month lease.

One of the more popular gated communities in the Irvine area is the Hidden Canyon community in Irvine.  Over the last 4 years we have seen over 50 homes sold often for prices over $3 to $4 million dollars.  What makes this community unique is it's private and remote location in the Laguna Altura area that is set off from other communities but still close enough to be within a short driving distance to local grocery stores, restaurants and some really great shopping.  The floor plans are very well thought out with large square footages that often showcase large rooms with vaulted ceilings and outdoor entertainment spaces with many owners installing private pools and spas.  If you are thinking about doing a quick drive through of this community make sure to

The Park Lane community is one of the smaller gated communities in Irvine for homes that were mainly built between 2001 to 2002.  The value of these homes is very much high in demand as many of these homes are typically only on the market for several weeks.  One of the most popular floor plan is the 3 bedroom model that features 1,516 square feet of living space that features an office that has the potential of being converted into a 4th bedroom. There are a lot of benefits of living here too which includes a community pool, spa, tennis and basketball courts.  The location is also near a large greenbelt area as well as being within some of the award winning Irvine schools.  What I really like to find here for my clients are detached single family homes

One of the more difficult places to find a home in Irvine is the Harvard gated community.  The neighborhood has a really great location where the 5 and 261 freeways meet and just off the Culver Drive exit.  It's definitely not the cheapest place to live in Irvine as many of the homes are listed well above the one million dollar price point.  What makes this area unique is that many of the over 800 homes located here were built about 20 years ago or so and still have the look and feel of a newer community.  These are two story single family homes with attached garages and large front and backyards.  Many love living here since it's located in the highly sought after Irvine School District.

One of the most popular gated communities in the Northwood area of Irvine is the Canyon Creek neighborhood.  The tract was first established in 1979 with detached single family homes with two to five bedroom floor plans.  Many of the lots of this community are large enough to entertain and for private swimming pool.  There is a good variety of two story floor plans with some single level homes located here as well.  Select properties will offer covered front porches, vaulted ceilings, large kitchens with center island, family room, breakfast room, circular staircases and master bedroom fireplace and an attached three car garage.

Sheridan Place is a gated community located in the West Irvine area of Irvine, California.  The community was built starting in the year 1999 and features two to three bedroom townhouses.    This is a popular community due to it's prime location situated off Jamboree Road and near the 261 freeway.  Built in the Mediterranean architectural style that is often seen in the West Irvine area that was constructed by popular home builder Greystone Homes.  There vision was to create an upscale neighborhood with low maintenance yards in a secure gated environment with a community pool, spa and barbecue area.
